November Favourites

Ah December. The month of wrapping up warm, wrapping up presents, mistletoe, mulled wine, tinsel, turkey, fairy lights and snow! (Where are youuuu?) Once again, I have no idea where the time has gone, it’ll soon be New Year and I can't wait! :)

I've always wanted to go to Sephora and got the chance while I was in New York. I was browsing the lipsticks and fell in love! I was first attracted to the name, Mr Lover (don't know about you but I love it when brands give their lipsticks names, so cute.) It's a gorgeous vivid pink-red. (Sort of a dark fuchsia?) It's a lovely rich, creamy texture and very pigmented. It is literally my favourite lipstick to date! Want a Mac dupe? I'd sayyy Girl about town without the shimmers.

Rimmel deliciously dark is just that; a really dark, reddy plum colour with no shimmers. The quick '1 second' brush is really useful too. Gorgeous winter colour, but wear a base coat girlies it stains like hell!

I guess when you think of Hollister you think Cali beaches, summer and hot models ;) (am I wrong?) I'm not going to bore you by trying to describe the scent but I think it's got quite rich undertones, great for winter evenings.

Vaseline rosy lips is a constant favourite of mine but it really comes into it's own in the colder weather. It's really moisturising, smells nice, tastes nice, and tints perfectly for that lovely rosy winter pout.

I hope you're all well and as excited about Christmas as I am. I also reached 100 followers this week (!) Wow, thank you dolls :) xx

Happy Wednesday

My my, two posts in one day, someone’s clearly feeling guilty for being absent for a week or so...  Should be doing coursework but instead I’m watching the vampire diaries. (New love, I’m currently studying gothic literature and I’m pretty much kidding myself it's research) ;)
Winter is officially here, so thank goodness my heating is now fixed! (And about time too, I’m pretty sure the mini heater's on its last legs) I'm still wearing ridiculous amounts of layers though; jumpers, scarves, hats - basically all things knitwear! God I love winter. However I'm starting to get that horrid stomach feeling every time someone mentions Christmas as I have of yet, only bought about two presents... Really must sort that.
I hope you're all well my dears, hello new followers, nearly at the big one-zero-zero, can't believe it! I really must get on with some work now. (Who am I kidding, really?) Time to make a coffee and stare at Microsoft word for the next couple of hours...

Click click snap, my week in photos

This should of been posted over the weekend but I've been really busy and I don't really know where the time went. Ever got to Sunday night and realised you're ready for another weekend?
It's my day off and I probably should be working but I'm rather enjoying procrastinating on here..

001-003 lovely misty walk with tonnes of toadstools
004-008 saw RiRi saturday night, literally amazing. There is no doubt this girl can SING

October Favourites

A very late favourites due to my busy schedual. My goodness, November! Entering exhausted but optimistic :)

I've rekindled my love for Elnett. It's a classic, and best of all, brushes out.

I picked up the George polish in Asda whist doing my weekly shop. It caught my eye instantly - it's a gorgeous metallicy, petrol-like shade that's everywhere this season.

I've been loving Lipcote this month! I'd say that it almost turns your lipstick into a stain without affecting the shade quality. It’s been around for years, and I’d say it’s here for the foreseeable.

With the 3 for 2 offers all over boots, I picked the Natural Collection Moisture shine in crimson on a bit of a whim and ended up loving it. The colour was great, it lasted well and wasn't drying. After it mysteriously broke in half on a night out, I picked up another only for it to break during transition for New York... Another mashed beyond repair! I'm a little disappointed, but I wore it nonstop when it was in one piece so a favourite it is :)

I bought the Natural Collection Lash Build as a cheap mascara to create spider lashes for nights out and was pleasantly surprised, the brush tapers, so it coats every lash. Complete bargin.

I've really simplified my skincare this month, just using the Neutrogena scrub morning and night and slapping on the moisturiser as the temperature drops. As a result my skin has been no trouble at all.

What have you been loving this month? xx

My Sunday in a nutshell

Bit of a scrambled post this one! First of all, happy November sweetie pies! Hope you all had a lovely Halloween and bonfire night, we're now on the rapid decline to Christmas and I cannot wait! As much as I love summer, you can't beat sitting inside with a hot drink all cosy while it's freezing outside. However, I haven't quite been able to embrace this factor of late as our boiler has broken down! Still, after a few visits and phone calls to and from British gas, we still have no heating, but I’ve just about mastered keeping myself at a cosy temperature with a few jumpers, blankets and a little electric heater.
So I've been absent nearly a week purely because just I’ve been busy getting back into the routine of 6th form. I've got a few posts lined up, my belated favourites should be up sometime tomorrow, at some point I’ll get up my NYC haul and hopefully some OOTD's. I'll leave you with what I got up last night at my friend's house, just playing around with some sparklers and a camera :)
